The Shar'a government has not adopted an aggressive stance, nor has it maintained proxy forces. On the contrary, it has repeatedly expressed its preference for de-escalation with Israel. The United States has hosted, and will continue to host, dialogues to encourage diplomatic engagement rather than resorting to military violence, which only serves to frustrate both countries. Lasting de-escalation agreements are built through ongoing dialogue with all relevant states and parties. The United States continues to believe that restraint and dialogue are the most constructive path forward. We encourage all parties to prioritize reasoned dialogue over further military incidents.

The two TPT cases were formally notified to Congress this past Monday. The transfers can be executed immediately following completion of the 30 day Congressional review period
